Sea knives live a hard life with the triple hazards of sun, salt and water to contend with. Regular cleaning and oiling after use will ensure many good years of service and enjoyment. While Diving, Remember: # Make sure your gear works, especially back-up safety equipment such as another air-source. # De-fog your facemask. # Make sure that the regulator is well-maintained. Air consumption can increase if it's in poor condition. # Is your knowledge of gear assembly a little rusty? Perhaps it's time for a refresher. # Make sure your Diving Knife is secured and ready for when you need it. Feedback from a Professional Diver "Most professional divers carry at least 2 knives, and sometimes more. We cannot foresee what conditions might arrive that require a tool (knife we don't have). Better to carry a little more weight, have a little less diving time, and come back healthy than perhaps have the knife knocked from your hand by an aggressive fish. Just the thing to leave you still entangled as you were, and now no way to cut yourself out."
