Fiskars® Hospitality comes naturally to them; after all, how many companies had a village grow up around them? In 1649, Dutch merchants established a blast furnace in the tiny settlement of Fiskars in western Finland. Taking advantage of the high-quality iron ore, the company - and the village - soon became famous for the quality of their steel and the products it went into. These days, FISKARS BRANDS, INC. is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. But even as a global enterprise, we haven't lost sight of our small-town roots, especially when it comes to developing fiskars scissors, ergonomic garden tools and many other knife products. As we design a garden pruner, we picture centuries-old hedges and the pride that people take in their appearance.
